USGS Historical TOPO Map Rebuilds

This is our largest ongoing project, and you can follow along as states and territories are filled in. When finished, this collection will include all of the USGS Historical TOPO maps, color corrected, cropped, repaired, and prepared for the highest quality printing. For artistic reasons, in many cases, inversions of maps are also available.

Other Historical Map Projects

Our other mapping projects center on specific events, nations, eras, or things such as transportation. Where the USGS TOPO Map set aims to cover a map run for each state and territory, these map sets are typically a single run per subject. Maps are cropped, color corrected, repaired as needed, and an inversion run is often produced as well.

Because maps are added as we take a fancy to a given collection, the collections are numbered rather than alphabetized. All collections – as with the USGS material – begin in the public domain.
